Cancellation Policy for CPR/BLS Class

At Desert Heartbeat CPR, we aim to keep our pricing affordable while providing high-quality training. The average cost for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR and AED classes from competitors is $79. We understand that may seem high, so we strive to keep our pricing at $59 plus taxes with no additional fees. As a small local business, it’s important to us that everyone has access to these life-saving skills at an affordable rate.

All students are required to complete the online portion of their blended learning course prior to class and avoid last-minute completion, as technical issues may occur that could delay your progress.  If you do not complete the online portion before class, you will not be allowed to attend class. You will have to reschedule and pay the rescheduling fee of $15.00.

Additionally, we ask that you attend the class you signed up for. However, we understand that emergencies happen, and offer the following Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

Cancellation by Desert Heartbeat CPR
If for any reason a class is canceled by Desert Heartbeat CPR, registered students will be notified immediately. They will have the option to reschedule to another class or request a full refund. 

You have up to 48 hours after purchasing your class to cancel and receive a refund, minus a $15 administrative fee. Refund requests made after this 48-hour window will not be eligible for a refund. 

Rescheduling Policy
To reschedule, email us at info@desertheartbeatCPR.com. Proof of contact is required for any rescheduling request—texts and phone calls are not accepted.

• 3+ Days in Advance: If you contact us during business hours (9 AM-5 PM MST) at least three days before your class (excluding holidays), no rescheduling fee will apply. You may reschedule once within 60 days of the original class date without a fee. Rescheduling a second time will incur a $15 fee.
• Less than 2 Days Before Class: If you request to reschedule less than two days before class, a $15 fee will apply. By paying this rescheduling fee, you are allowed to reschedule up to two times within 60 days of the original class date. Your new class date will not be confirmed until the rescheduling fee is paid. If the class fills before payment, you will need to select another available date.
• Rescheduling More Than Twice:
  If a student has already rescheduled twice, no further rescheduling will be allowed. If the student cannot attend the final rescheduled class, no refund or credit will be provided unless extreme weather conditions prevent attendance. Additionally, if the first rescheduling was made within the 72-hour window and no fee was charged, there will be a $15 fee for the second rescheduling, no matter how far in advance the request is made. 

Late Policy
Students should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the class start time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be considered a NO SHOW. If you anticipate being late, please reschedule before the class begins to avoid being marked as a NO SHOW. For rescheduling details, please see the above rescheduling policy. 

No Show Policy
A student who fails to attend the class without notifying us before the start time will be considered a NO SHOW. We do not offer refunds or credits for NO SHOW students. However, if you are a NO SHOW, you have up to 72 hours to contact us and reschedule your class. After 72 hours, if no contact is made, you will forfeit your payment. 

Credit Card/Debit Card Dispute
It is your responsibility to know and understand the charges you submit. We do not manually charge payments—payments are submitted by the student. If you accidentally submit more than one payment, you have up to five days from the date of payment to contact us to rectify the situation and receive a refund.

If a charge is disputed by the student (or the cardholder) for any reason, including lack of recognition or recall of the charge, the student is responsible for a $25 processing fee in addition to the original amount owed for the transaction.
