What to Expect with the American Red Cross Blended Classes

Are you ready to learn life-saving skills in a fun and stress-free environment?

Desert Heartbeat CPR offers Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support blended learning courses, the top choice for those seeking CPR certification.


Red Cross Blended Training:

  • User-friendly and thorough, covering emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.
  • Complete the online portion at your own pace on your mobile, desktop, or tablet (1-3 hours, depending on your knowledge).
  • Join us for an in-person session of approximately 2 hours to practice your skills with a certified instructor.
  • No additional materials are required, unless you prefer to purchase them.
  • Receive a 2-year digital certificate upon successful completion.


Our small classes ensure a non-boring, enjoyable experience. With same-day certification, you'll leave feeling confident and prepared to respond in an emergency.

Desert Heartbeat CPR offers American Heart Association (AHA) courses, including Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED (in-person) and the HeartCode Complete BLS Provider Course — a flexible, self-paced path to Basic Life Support certification.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED:

  • In-person course, approximately 3 hours
  • Purchase the workbook on the American Heart Association website
  • Covers emergencies involving adults, children, and infants
  • Small classes for a hands-on, engaging experience
  • Same-day certification — leave confident and prepared

HeartCode Complete BLS Provider Course:

  • Complete the online portion anytime, anywhere, at your own pace, you must purchase it yourself on the AHA website.
  • Finish with a quick, hands-on skills check at our CPR Verification Station
  • Combines self-guided learning with real hands-on practice and testing
  • Get certified as soon as your skills check is complete
  • Ideal for healthcare students and professionals who need flexibility around a busy schedule
