Terms and conditions for CPR/BLS Class

Cancelation and Reschedule Policy

  At Desert Heartbeat CPR, we believe life-saving skills should be affordable and accessible to everyone. While the average competitor charges $85 for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR and AED classes, we strive to keep our pricing lower—without hidden or excessive fees. As a small, local business, your support allows us to provide high-quality instruction to our community. By registering and making payment, you agree to our cancellation and rescheduling policy.

  

Seats Are Limited

We keep our class sizes small to ensure the best possible learning experience with personalized, hands-on training. Early registration is recommended to secure your preferred date.

  

Course Requirements

All students are required to complete the online portion of their blended learning course before class:

  • Do not wait until the last minute—technical issues may delay progress.
  • If the online portion is not completed before class, you will not be allowed to attend.
  • You will need to reschedule and pay the $15 rescheduling fee.

  

Cancellation by Desert Heartbeat CPR

If we must cancel a class for any reason:

  • You will be notified promptly.
  • You may choose to reschedule or request a full refund.

  

Refund Policy

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. However, due to our limited class sizes and operational costs, our refund policy is as follows:

  • 3 or more days before class: Refund minus a $25 processing fee
  • Within 3 days of class: No refund
  • No refund if your class date has passed or you reschedule. 
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to: schedule@desertheartbeatcpr.com

  

Office Hours and Cancellation Request Timing

Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Saturday and Sundays - by appointment
Requests sent outside business hours (including weekends and holidays) will be considered received on the day they are sent, even if our office is closed.
For example, if you send a cancellation request at 7 PM on a Friday, it will be timestamped as Friday. Even though our office is closed over the weekend, your cancellation is still valid for that day.


Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days to your original form of payment.

  

Rescheduling Policy

All rescheduling requests must be submitted via email to:

Phone calls, texts, or social media messages are not accepted. Proof of email contact is required.


Class Dates and Times:
Our class dates and times are firm and follow a set schedule. While we understand emergencies can happen, we strongly encourage you to attend the class you originally signed up for. Rescheduling is only available based on the available dates and times listed on our website DesertheartbeatCPR.com
If you are unable to attend your originally scheduled class, you will need to choose a new class date from the available options. All rescheduling requests must comply with our established policies and availability.

As a Red Cross and AHA certified provider, we maintain our own training schedule.

  • All reschedules incur a $15 fee, regardless of the reason or      notice given.
  • You may reschedule up to two additional times (three total class dates, including the original).
  • All rescheduled classes must occur within 60 days of your original class date.
  • Your spot is not confirmed until the rescheduling fee is paid. If the class fills before payment, you will need to select another available date.
  • No further rescheduling will be allowed beyond the second reschedule. No refunds or credits will be given if you’re unable to attend.

  

Late Policy

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.
  • The classroom door closes 5 minutes after the start time.
  • Late arrivals will not be allowed to join the      class.
  • If you arrive late, you must reschedule and pay the $15 rescheduling fee.
    📧 To avoid being marked a No Show, you must email us before class begins if you’re unable to attend.
    🚫 Do not interrupt the class if you arrive after the start time.

  

No Show Policy

If you fail to attend a class without notifying us before the class begins, you will be marked as a No Show.
No refunds, reschedules, or credits will be given for No Shows.

  

Instructor Course Policy

Instructor-level courses have limited seats and additional requirements:

Refund Policy

  • 5 or more days before class: Refund minus a $25 processing fee
  • Within 5 days of class: No refund
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to: schedule@desertheartbeatcpr.com
  • Reschedule: $25 rescheduling fee. Allowed 1 time reschedule.

Instructor candidates must:

  • Complete the online course before class.
  • Bring required materials.
  • Hold a valid CPR certification  (Adult/Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED or BLS) from Red Cross, AHA, or HSI by the start of class.

Failure to meet these requirements results in being denied entry and a $25 rescheduling fee will apply.

  

Credit/Debit Card Disputes

All payments are submitted manually by students—we do not charge cards automatically.

  • If you accidentally make a duplicate payment, please contact us within 5 days of the transaction to request a refund (minus a $4 processing fee).
  • If a payment is disputed (e.g.,chargeback or claim of unrecognized charge), the student is responsible for:
    • The original class fee, plus
    • A $25 dispute processing fee.

      

Liability Waiver

By registering for and attending any course offered by Desert Heartbeat CPR, you acknowledge and accept that you are voluntarily participating in physical and educational activities.
Desert Heartbeat CPR, its owners, instructors, and affiliates are not responsible or liable for any injuries, accidents, or incidents occurring before, during, or after class, whether on-site or off-site.
By registering, you agree to release and hold harmless Desert Heartbeat CPR and its affiliates from any and all claims of liability.
